Almost half a year has passed, and Hong Kong society has returned to calm. Chen Ziqian said in an interview with reporters that he still remembers the incident. He said that the rioters disrupted the entire social order in Hong Kong at that time, and the citizens were afraid to go out normally. Appointments and dinners were cancelled one after another.
After the promulgation and implementation of the Hong Kong National Security Law, Hong Kong society changed from chaos to governance, and public security became better and better.

Last year, Hong Kong was very chaotic. The social chaos caused (hit) more than the epidemic, but I found that Hong Kong is getting better and better now, and finally turned from chaos to governance. Because of the (Hong Kong) National Security Law (implementation), the central government also I have done a lot of things to safeguard Hong Kong’s sovereignty and prosperity and stability. I think the opposition can no longer do much farce. I think it is getting better and more stable. Hong Kong people can live a normal life. This is the situation a year later.
At that time last year (Black Storm) did not let you go to work at all, forced you to go on strike, the subway completely refused to let you sit, (the protesters) directly blocked the door, and directly prevented you from opening the door. Many of my colleagues were unable to go to work or even eat. Go, the streets are all roadblocks, and our lives at that time all depended on their riot schedule.
[Explanation] Chen Ziqian said that 16-year-old students were among those who besieged him at the time. He said that many young people were seriously brainwashed by the opposition’s remarks. Some violent teachers used the classroom to spread anti-China chaos in Hong Kong and hatred of the country. As a result, the students took to the streets and committed atrocities. Chen Ziqian expressed his sympathy for these young people and believed that education reform is imperative. He also participated in many social activities himself, hoping to do his best to help young people get back to the right.

[Explanation] As a lawyer, Chen Ziqian often deals with housing sales contracts. He found that despite the impact of the epidemic, the willingness of citizens to buy a house this year is much higher than in 2019, which proves the stabilizing effect of the National Security Law on society.
Chen Ziqian believes that Hong Kong is an economic city and the most important thing is stability, otherwise it will seriously affect the confidence of domestic and foreign investors.
He also observed that the country has always been good to Hong Kong. As long as he has the strong backing of the motherland, his confidence in Hong Kong will never be shaken.
