France 3's investigative magazine will be broadcast for the last time in January 2021, according to information from the program

d'Europe 1. Emblematic program of the channel, it was on the air since October 2000. "We let us take this decision as a very bad signal sent to our editorial staff, "reacted the Society of Journalists (SDJ) of France 3 in an internal press release that Europe 1 consulted.

A program "emblematic of the public service"

Each month,

Pièces à conviction

has been offering a 52-minute survey for 20 years, followed by a discussion between a few guests.

"On France 3, information and investigation have seen their scope shrink from year to year. After the suppression of

in 2019, we are once again faced with the closure of an emblematic public service program", regrets the SDJ.

This one says to have met "a month and a half ago" Laurent Guimier, director of information of France Television, which would have been then "reassuring".

First presented by Elise Lucet, the show has been run since 2016 by journalist Virna Sacchi.

In mid-November, France 3 had granted him a special evening, in prime time, for a major investigation devoted to the management of the health crisis in nursing homes.
