Europe 1 and Music Auction by Art Richelieu meet exceptionally live, Saturday November 28, 2020 at 2 pm, for an auction of vinyls from the collection of the station.

On Sunday March 31, 2019, Europe 1 wanted to put its musical treasures in the spotlight for the first time since its creation in 1955. This auction was an opportunity for the radio to showcase its exceptional sound heritage: 3,500 records have been released. was chosen from among the 70,000 in his collection.

On November 28, 2020, vinyl enthusiasts will once again be able to afford one or more discs that the station no longer uses due to technological developments.

In view of the health situation, the event will be held "live" on the site www.drouotdigital.com.

Coming from the Europe 1 disco, these vinyls, divided into more than ten musical styles, will be highlighted: from French songs to original film soundtracks, from jazz to blues or even soul, this sale is aimed at all music lovers, from amateurs to collectors.

Divided into 331 lots and 19 categories, a range of musical nuggets will be offered including a large selection of 45s and EPs (Extended Play).

All musical genres will be represented, from the most popular to the most advanced.

This sale will consist of five parts:

• A "French song" component:

85 records, mainly from the 1960s, will begin this sale.

Note the EP "Chanson He Semaineaire" by Jean-Pierre Kalfon dating from 1965, announcing French punk ten years in advance. 

• The second part will be devoted to the soundtracks of films:

the opportunity to discover the compositions of Jimmy Smith for the fi lm "La métamorphose des cloportes…" or the Soundtrack of "Fantômas se déchaîne" by Michel Magne, with Jean Marais and Louis de Funès.

• A third "jazz and blues" installment:

an original Lester Young pressing "The Last Message from Lester Young", made famous by a moving session of the artist, recorded a few days before his death, will be on sale.

The Jazz Hip Trio group is also honored with its jazz interpretation of classical music in its album "Jazz en relief".

• A fourth "Soul" section:

a large selection of the big names in R&B gathered under the Tamla Motown label is offered.

Note the rare Paul Sindab EP "Since I met you", a sublime creation of Northern soul.

• A fifth and final "Pop Rock" component:

the biggest names will be offered here, from Kinks in the 1960s to Clash for the 1970s and to Red Hot Chili Peppers and The Cure in the 1980s and 1990s .

Before a few "surprise" packages, the "Ideal nightclub" package, composed by the expert, will be presented: essential classics bringing together all styles and all eras.
