China News Service, Xi’an, November 24th (Reporter Zhang Yichen) The reporter learned from the government of Tongchuan City, Shaanxi Province on the 24th that at 7:03 a.m. on November 24th, the surface of the Guanzhuang overpass at 776+200 meters from the G65 Baomao Expressway was caused by group fog. Three traffic accidents occurred.

So far, the accident has caused 3 deaths and 6 injuries.

  Investigation by the local fire department: More than 40 vehicles collided at the scene (one of which was a 34-ton methanol tanker), causing more than 10 vehicles to catch fire and many people were trapped.

  At 8:40, the fire was under control and did not spread to a 34-ton methanol tank truck. Two trapped persons were rescued.

  After the accident, relevant officials from the Traffic Police Headquarters of the Public Security Department of Shaanxi Province, the Fire Rescue Headquarters of Shaanxi Province, and the Tongchuan Municipal Party Committee and Government rushed to the scene to direct rescue operations. Public security, fire, emergency, transportation, and health departments arrived at the scene to carry out rescue work.

The rescue is currently being carried out at the scene.
