[Poverty alleviation story] Linzhi, Tibet, take multiple measures to write a beautiful picture of poverty alleviation

  [Explanation] Tibet has entered the early winter season in November. Baima Duoji, wearing a thick down jacket, stood early in front of the roaring engraving machine and started his busy day at work.

  Baima Duoji hasn't studied for a few years, but he learned woodworking skills from his father since he was a child, and it was his childhood dream to start a furniture factory of his own.

Beginning in 2017, Baima Duoji used bank loans and self-raised funds to open the coveted Tibetan furniture factory along the Niyang River in Linzhi City, Tibet.

In 2020, household income will exceed 600,000 yuan (RMB, the same below).

In less than three years, Baima Duoji not only lifted the family out of poverty, but also drove the impoverished youth around them to increase their employment and income.

  In 2015 (our family) was a poor household. In 2016, I voluntarily applied to withdraw from the ranks of poor households in the village. After that, I started to build a furniture factory.

The official furniture factory was completed and put into operation in 2017, which also provided jobs for many poor people in the village.

  [Explanation] According to the reporter's understanding, at the end of 2015, the Tibet Autonomous Region approved 6,636 households and 22,803 people in Linzhi City to establish a file for poverty, and the poverty rate was 16.42%.

The distribution of poverty is both scattered and concentrated, covering 54 towns and 490 villages in the city.

The city has implemented more than 660 industrial poverty alleviation projects to increase people's income. The government has invested more than 2 billion yuan. Industry has played an important role in increasing people's income.

  There are 31 households with 147 people in Tongmai Village, Mirui Township, Bayi District, Linzhi City, Tibet.

As one of the strong industrial villages in Linzhi City, the people of Tongmai Village have achieved income through participating in industrial development.

In 2019, the annual per capita disposable income of the village exceeded 30,000 yuan.

  Our village is a strong industrial village.

First of all, it is the vegetable base. The main income of the vegetable base is the cost of land transfer, as well as our labor services or machinery rental costs.

Another apple (planting) base in our village. The total area (area) of the apple (planting) base is 350 mu. Then last year (2019), the village collective (economic) income of this apple (planting) base also reached 60 In addition to these two base industries, this year we also opened (built) our first tourist service and reception center in Mirui Township. Now it has also entered the stage of trial operation. Since its operation for a month, the village collective (economic ) Income also exceeded 10,000 yuan.

  [Explanation] Elder Glee is 69 years old this year. He lives with his son who is suffering from mental illness in the family. As a poor household, he enjoys relocation policies related to poverty alleviation.

In view of the special circumstances such as poor family economic conditions and different degrees of disability, Tongmai Village, in addition to various policy support, arranged simple tasks such as patrols and weeding for Gelie at the vegetable base in the village.   [Explanation] A few days ago, the reporter walked into the Basongcuo National 5A Ecological Natural Tourism Scenic Spot in Linzhi City, Tibet. There are many modern homestays with rich characteristics, scattered in the quaint farmyard.

Gree, the "post-90s" Tibetan boy in the core village of the scenic spot, introduced that the boutique homestay run by his family in 2018 has been booming year by year.

Up to now, the annual revenue of homestay business has exceeded 400,000 yuan.

  We used to have a family hotel here, but the conditions were not particularly good. Later, after going to study in other places, we upgraded the original hotel and opened this family hotel.

Since 2018, revenue has been generated, and only more than 400,000 yuan will be generated in 2020.

  [Explanation] Since 2016, Linzhi City has been on the road to poverty alleviation together with the whole country. After five years of unremitting efforts, the city’s poverty population has been reset to zero, which has solved the overall regional poverty and has gone out of poverty.
