[Poverty alleviation story] Guangxi veterans planted edible fungus with bagasse to drive villagers out of poverty and become rich

[Explanation] In a green sugarcane forest in Shechong Township, Liucheng County, Liuzhou City, Guangxi, an edible fungus planting base built with blue colored steel tiles is particularly conspicuous. This is a food co-organized by Guangxi retired armed police Hong Longjin and several retired comrades. Bacteria planting base.

Liucheng County is an important sugarcane planting base in Guangxi. Hong Longjin explored to turn waste into treasure according to local conditions. He used bagasse and other materials produced by squeezing sugar to make culture media. The cultivated edible fungi were exported to Southeast Asia and Europe, with an annual output value of 15 million. yuan.

[Explanation] After the 32-year-old Hong Longjin retired from the army in Liuzhou City, Guangxi in 2018, he found that the edible fungus planting industry in Zhangzhou, Fujian’s hometown, has mature and stable sales. In addition, there are many sugar factories and wood processing factories in Liucheng County. The waste is the nutrient for growing Pleurotus eryngii. The comprehensive cost of the culture medium is 20% cheaper than the market price, so I decided to invest in the edible fungus industry in Liucheng.

Through our professional technology and warehouse to cultivate edible fungi, it is not affected by the weather, and it is produced 365 days a year, so that the benefits of industrialization are relatively high, and the economic value is relatively high, which also promotes the development of the industrialization of surrounding edible fungi.

[Explanation] In 2019, Green Star Agriculture has completed the construction of the first phase of the project, with an investment of 30 million yuan, an annual output of 1,200 tons of fresh mushrooms, an annual turnover of 15 million yuan, direct employment of more than 60 surrounding villagers, and an average piece rate salary of up to each person More than 4,000 yuan per month.

Due to the excellent quality of the Pleurotus eryngii produced by Green Star, the products are exported to Southeast Asia and European countries, accounting for about 90% of exports.

[Explanation] The success of Green Star Agriculture has also driven the surrounding villagers to get rich.

500 meters away from the Lvxing company's plant, in the edible fungus planting shed of the Sixiangyuan Planting Professional Cooperative in Shechong Township, Liucheng County, the legal representative of the cooperative, Qin Wenping, is picking black-skinned chicken fir mushrooms and pork belly mushrooms with several workers.

After the establishment of the cooperative, the income of both growers and migrant workers has been significantly increased.

The daily yield of bacteria is more than 1,000 kilograms, and the temperature is now about 300 kilograms. The output value is calculated at more than 10 yuan per catty, and the daily income is several thousand close to 10,000 yuan.

Originally planted sugarcane and fruit mainly.

According to the calculation of sugar cane, the average annual income per person is several thousand yuan. Now if we use edible mushrooms, we will have about 20 people when there are more employees. They will be given 100 yuan a day for work expenses per day, 8 per day. For an hour, they can make two to three thousand yuan a month.

[Explanation] The success of Qin Wenping Cooperative is due to the technical support of Green Star Agriculture.

The price of equipment for sterilizing culture media is as high as hundreds of thousands, and Green Star Agriculture directly provides the cooperatives with sterilized bacteria sticks.

Reduce the infection rate of edible fungi from 50% of the local disinfection method to 1%.

The difficulty and threshold of cooperatives for growing edible fungi have been reduced at the same time.

Now they are all sold to Haijixing (a farmer’s market), which is basically not enough. Now the quantity is not enough. It’s like going to Shenzhen to send a batch of goods, and then the goods are not enough and broken. Now I hope to expand the industry chain. , To drive more farmers to do it.

[Explanation] At present, the benefits brought by the edible fungus industry have attracted many young people to return to their hometowns to start businesses. There are several cooperatives in Liucheng County that are like homesickness sources, driving the employment of more than 100 local villagers including poor households.

Now many of our people go out to work, that is, the two parents-in-law go out, leave the children and the elderly at home, the children’s grades are not taken care of, and the elderly’s physical life is not taken care of, but they have to go out to work in order to support their families, which has caused many social problems. Therefore, if you return to your hometown to start a business, you can take care of the children and the elderly, and reduce our social conflicts. It is also an effective governance aspect of rural revitalization.
