[Explanation] On November 18th, the 2020 Shanghai-Hong Kong-Macao-Taiwan Painting Joint Exhibition kicked off at the Liu Haisu Art Museum in Shanghai. This exhibition has solicited 106 works from 85 artists from Shanghai, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan to participate in the exhibition, aiming to further strengthen Shanghai and Hong Kong The cultural exchanges and interactions between, Macau and Taiwan have continuously promoted the inheritance, innovation and development of Chinese artistic diversity.

  As a traditional exhibition and brand project hosted by the Shanghai International Cultural Exchange Association for many years, the Shanghai-Hong Kong-Macao-Taiwan Painting Joint Exhibition has been held for more than ten consecutive sessions since 2009.

The theme of this joint exhibition is "the sun and the moon, the beauty of China". There are 49 artists from Shanghai, 11 from Hong Kong, 13 from Macau, and 11 from Taiwan.

  The reporter learned that the works presented by the artists in this exhibition are diverse. They not only used their brushes to outline the great rivers and mountains of the motherland, but also portrayed the stories of medical staff struggling on the front line of the epidemic from their own perspectives, interpreting human nature. The light and respect for life.

  Our theme for this year's exhibition mainly reflects our people's unity and fighting together when the epidemic suddenly hits, especially the spirit of the white angels who love boundlessly.

Then our artists use their colored pens to depict the scene where they are struggling on the front line to inspire our spirit of struggle. 

  [Explanation] Affected by the new crown pneumonia epidemic, the artists from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan who participated in the exhibition were not able to be there.

As the agent of calligraphy and painting artists on both sides of the Taiwan Strait, Chu Uran, chairman of Shanghai Jinyuan Culture, came to the exhibition site after 14 days of isolation.

Chu Uran said that promoting cultural integration is what the artists expect.

  On the basis of this fight against the epidemic, we feel that the strength of the country and its efforts have united us all.

I would rather come to this exhibition in isolation for 14 days, because this exhibition is an annual integration for us and for people in the art world.

Promoting cultural integration is what we all look forward to.

  [Explanation] Deng Xiaoxian, vice president and secretary-general of the Shanghai International Cultural Exchange Association, said that this is an offline exhibition of great historical significance. Artists from Shanghai, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan hope to actively convey to everyone through different contents, forms and expressions. With the positive energy of fighting the epidemic, we are united and will work together to overcome the difficulties.
