A class of "fallen leaves skiing" that skis on a slope covered with dead pine needles began at an elementary school in the mountains of Okazaki City, Aichi Prefecture.

At Eta Elementary School in Okazaki City, we have been doing "fallen leaf skiing" in class since 1957 to improve our physical strength in winter.

On the 19th, about 10 children from Okazaki Deaf School, who interact with about 50 children from all schools, participated in the opening ceremony of the ski resort, and representatives of elementary school children showed a model slide.

On the slope of the mountain behind the school, there were three courses about 30 meters long, and the children spread their hands and slid down vigorously while balancing.

After that, elementary school and deaf school children enjoyed sledding and skiing together and interacted with each other.

The children who showed off the model slip said, "I felt good" and "I was nervous, but I'm glad I slipped to the end."

The fallen leaves ski class will be held until the end of February next year, and children will aim to improve through recording sessions.
