The re-containment announced on October 28 by the government has favored online information.

According to the Alliance for Press and Media Figures, the first week was particularly favorable to online news sites, with more than 588 million registered visitors.

Media applications have also benefited.

Information sites and applications have seen their attendance jump with the new lockdown, according to data released Tuesday by the Alliance for Press and Media Figures (ACPM).

Remarkable peaks - more than 100 million visits in one day - were also reached on news sites on certain days when the news was exceptionally strong.

Significant growth for online media and applications which had already been observed during the first confinement decided to fight against the coronavirus.
