Clusters nationwide, etc. 153 cases in a week up to 16th November 17th 15:14, up 18% from the previous week

A population of people infected with the new coronavirus = "clusters" is occurring one after another.

According to a summary by the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare, there were a total of 153 cases of infection to multiple people in the week up to the 16th, an increase of more than 20 cases from the previous week.

Every week, the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare summarizes cases where the local government has identified it as a cluster based on media reports and cases where two or more people have been infected.

A total of 153 clusters were confirmed nationwide in the week up to the 16th, an increase of 23 cases from the previous week, or an increase of 18%.

The most common was "welfare facilities" such as facilities for the elderly with 37 cases, followed by "restaurants" with 33 cases, "schools / educational facilities" with 30 cases, "corporations / government offices" with 23 cases, and "medical care". There are 16 cases such as "institution".

Since clusters cause the spread of infection, the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare is supporting the containment by local governments by dispatching experts on cluster countermeasures to areas where the infection is spreading.
