"I always put only what I wanted": director Roman Viktyuk died

In Moscow, at the age of 85, Russian theater director Roman Viktyuk died. At the end of October, he was hospitalized with coronavirus. The causes of death and the date of farewell to the director have not yet been reported. Viktyuk was born in 1936 in Lvov. In 1956 he graduated from the acting department of GITIS, but later preferred to directing to the career of an artist. Viktyuk has staged more than a hundred performances in domestic and foreign theaters. His production of "The Handmaids" enjoyed particular success. In 2009, Roman Viktyuk was awarded the title of People's Artist of Russia.
