  • It was Fabrice, the 54-year-old northern candidate, who thus lost his place in the game.

    back on his journey.

“Since my return, I have found myself extremely fulfilled, open, more than before,” assures the one who only keeps good memories of his participation.

Koh-Lanta, the 4 lands

has lost its best shirt.

This week, the immunity test was eliminatory for the candidate who would finish in last place.

And it is Fabrice, the friendly mechanic from the North, who paid the price for this formidable rule.

The 54-year-old adventurer tells

20 Minutes

what his experience in the TF1 show has brought him and reveals why he placed this famous shirt in his suitcase with which he did not go unnoticed.

In the moments following your elimination, you seemed more upset to be separated from the other adventurers than to see your journey in the game come to a halt ...

It is true ?

Does it show that much?

(

He bursts out laughing

)

Yes.

You even verbalized it by saying to Denis Brogniart: “It's not hard to leave, everyone is leaving.

It's hard to leave them.

"

It is true !

I left with the idea of doing a good adventure, with a good bunch of friends.

It's like I'm going on vacation with my friends.

I had indeed made friendships with many adventurers.

I was good with everyone.

Leaving them hurt my heart because we weren't going to see each other anymore.

When you go through difficult things, it's even harder when you leave each other.

It also hurt to leave the game because I knew that behind was my family, my friends, a region following me and I thought of them.

Given your understanding with the other candidates, leaving without being eliminated from a board is the best possible exit, isn't it?

Exact.

When I found Bertrand-Kamal, who came out in the same way, he told me: “Listen, no one eliminated you, it's exceptional!

He reassured me (

laughs

).

He was right.

Nobody eliminated me, I don't blame anybody.

In the head, I only have happiness, I have no resentment.

In the early days of the adventure, would you have imagined going that far?

When you start the adventure, you never know when you're going to go out.

So much can happen.

I didn't think I would go that far, especially when I saw that there were sacred athletes.

We looked at each other with Marie-France and we said to each other "Wow, it's not possible, we don't have the physical level".

Little by little, we start to gain confidence and I believed in it.

Much has been said about your age.

Did that annoy you?

The age at the start of the adventure is important but, as you go, when you demonstrate on the tests that you are not that bad, the subject is less discussed.

Denis Brogniart, insisted on my age during the picket test.

He had been impressed by my performance and it had accentuated the fact that I was dean at that time.

In the end, we were all adventurers on an equal footing.

What will you have learned about yourself by participating in "Koh-Lanta"?

That I have a great capacity to adapt.

When we arrive on the island is that we are completely lost, far from our families, without anything to eat or knowing where to sleep, we must not crack.

I still resisted all these hazards.

I've never done survival training, it's all out of my mind.

I also adapted to other adventurers.

I'm quite shy, on the reserve, it's like that, but little by little, I came out of my shell, I felt good, I was no longer afraid of the cameras.

I conquered this side which was still a little behind.

Since my return, I find myself very fulfilled, open, more than before.

Nah, but Fabrice's shirt is the strongest in the camp!

One last question is obvious ... You also stood out with your choice of shirt.

Did you expect it to do so much talk?

(

Laughs

) I had to pack my bag for the adventure and it was a bit of a panic.

Every time I sent the production a photo of what I wanted to take, I was told no.

So when the reporters from the show came to shoot my portrait, they told me to take something with long sleeves.

I took out this famous shirt and the journalist said to me: “Well, why not?

!

So I took it away.

When I put it on the first board, the first night, the fellow adventurers laughed: "Wow, what night are you going to?"

This is where I told myself that it was going to make people talk.

When Denis saw me arriving, he told me I had class (

laughs

).
