Use a more resistant foundation

The first instinct may be to tell yourself that you should avoid the foundation, which would end up on the mask.

But there is "transfer-free" foundation.

"It's going to be a foundation that is going to be rather long lasting. Often, we will find this term, or that of 'waterproof', water resistant. This foundation will be more resistant to perspiration. not necessarily going to last all day, but it will prolong as much as possible the foundation effect and the healthy glow effect, "artistic makeup artist Faustine-Léa Violleau told Europe 1.

The same goes for lipstick.

There are some that can last up to 48 hours.

Apply it, let it dry for several minutes and only then can you put on the mask.

Focus on the eyes

More generally, the most important thing is to focus on the skin that is still visible, the top of the face.

We can thus put the package on the eyes to open the eyes.

"The best tool for that is an eye pencil," explains Patrick Lorentz, makeup expert at Estée Lauder, who suggests "taking it waterproof, because there are still women who also wear glasses. . And when you wear glasses, the humidity in your eyes causes makeup to not hold.

According to this specialist, "perhaps the best shade is to go a little bit further than what we usually do, since we have a large part of the face that is hidden. Thus, women who were using brown pencils can change to a darker brown or to a gray or a black. It can be very simple gestures, just like a liner, or just the pencil line that will be blurred with an eyeshadow to have some something much more blurry, less graphic ".

And to conclude: "There is also something which is quite important to make the look bigger, it is maybe to, rather than putting mascara only on top, to put it below and above. C is quite spectacular in the opening of the eyes. "

Give volume to your hair

In addition, the mask also forces us to review our hairstyle habits, especially for long hair.

So we will compensate and put volume on the top of the head.

We avoid making bangs and instead, we will instead opt to do a bun.

Another way to add volume is to curl your hair, for example using devices like curlers, which should be used on dry hair.

For her part, Charline Roussé, hairdresser and trainer in plant coloring, recommends using styling rollers.

"They can be found all over the hairdresser's shops. It's a scratch roller, a bit like velcro. We wrap our hair around these rollers, and it fixes itself. Once we take it off. , the hair will have a lot more volume at the roots. This is a very good tip to be able to give yourself volume, "she describes.

Regularly change your mask and clean your skin

And what about the pimples that sometimes appear on the skin under the mask?

It is not acne, because the mask does not develop it, according to specialists.

"The fact that the mask is worn for a prolonged period can induce more heat and consequently, there may be a phenomenon of exacerbated redness", explains Dr. Nadine Pomarède, dermatologist in Paris.

The latter advises to treat them to clean the face well.

"Facial cleansing is twice a day, whether you wear makeup or not, with a gentle, non-aggressive, non-stripping cleanser. The care product is important. It is important to maintain this impeccable routine. morning and evening."

You should also change your mask regularly, because if you wear it for several days in a row, it will accumulate perspiration, saliva and other dirt that does not help to have a pretty skin.
