- We have received advance notice that a political decision will be made tomorrow to temporarily close museums, city libraries and other public cultural activities, says Anna Rosengren.
The closure will include museums such as Röhsska and the City Museum, but also the Stora teatern, Konsthallen, Frilagret, Stadens kulturhus.
However, public libraries will continue to be open.
"Expects to make decisions"
The announcement is confirmed by the culture committee's chairman Ann Catrine Fogelgren (L).
- We simply have to reduce the spread of infection and ease the pressure on healthcare.
As it looks now, I therefore expect to make this chairman's decision tomorrow, she tells Göteborgs Posten.
Unclear how long
The conditions for the closure have not yet been communicated, but according to Ann Catrine Fogelgren, they can take effect already this weekend.
The cultural administration will now look at how the decision should be put into practice.
