The announcement by Pfizer and BioNTech laboratories that a vaccine against Covid-19 reduced the risk of falling ill with the virus by 90% aroused immense hope around the world on Tuesday and many enthusiastic reactions.

But Catherine Hill, epidemiologist and researcher at the Gustave Roussy Cancer Institute, calls for caution, because the study on which this announcement is based is "too small", although the vaccine is "promising".
