For the first time in 7 months ... Visitors from outside Saudi Arabia pray the Prophet's Mosque

Visitors coming from outside Saudi Arabia arrived today at the Noble Prophet's Mosque for the first time in about seven after the suspension of travel last March, and the closure of the Two Holy Mosques to visitors, due to the emerging Corona virus.

Pictures published by the Prophet's Mosque Affairs Agency today showed visitors to the Holy Mosque, wearing masks and farther apart in the halls of the holy place, while they read prayers and performed prayers.

The Mosque Affairs Agency said: "In an atmosphere of humility and faith ... the first group of pilgrims abroad (who are of Pakistani nationality) perform the prayers in the honorable kindergarten in the Prophet's Mosque."

The new visitors of the Prophet’s Mosque are the first batch of pilgrims coming from outside the Kingdom, after they performed the rituals of Umrah in the Holy Mosque of Mecca, during the past days, as Riyadh decided to allow pilgrims from many countries of the world to come under preventive conditions.

The return of pilgrims from outside the Kingdom represents the third phase of the gradual return of Umrah, after the two previous stages were limited last month to internal pilgrims.

The age group for external pilgrims was restricted from 18 to 50 years, and a recent examination certificate (PCR) with a negative result, proving that they are free from the emerging corona virus, is required, in addition to undergoing health isolation in the hotel for a period of three days.

Saudi Arabia says that the full return of Umrah and prayers in the Two Holy Mosques, 100 percent of the natural capacity of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet's Mosque, will be when the competent authority decides to eliminate the risks of the Corona pandemic.
