According to news from the Guangdong Fire Rescue Corps on November 8, a truck suddenly caught fire in the middle of the Ebuling Tunnel in Yangchun, Yangjiang.
After receiving the alarm, the city’s 119 command center successively dispatched the Yangchun Hexi Fire and Rescue Station and the High-tech Special Service Station to the scene for disposal.
Rescuers arrived at the scene and found that the tunnel was filled with dense smoke, the front of the car was burning violently, and there were calls for help from time to time.
According to insiders, the truck loaded more than 5,000 duck fry from Zhaoqing, Guangdong, and was ready to be transported to Yangchun for sale.
Ten minutes later, Hexi Station came to the scene and discharged water for disposal. During the disposal, the rescued ducklings jumped out of the carriage from time to time.
The fire was quickly extinguished, and the smoke exhaust system in the tunnel was also activated at the same time. There were no casualties at the scene and the driver escaped in time.
Fortunately, the rescue was timely and nearly half of the ducklings in the car survived.
Afterwards, the scene continued to sprinkle water on the fired vehicles and the surviving duck fry to cool down and prevent re-ignition.
