Armenia said on Monday that the fighting continued in Nagorno-Karabakh for control of the strategic city of Shusha, which Azerbaijan announced the capture the day before, and reported 44 new dead in its ranks.
The Azerbaijani armed forces have been seeking since the end of September to regain control of this separatist territory supported by Yerevan and which has eluded it since the 1990s. The offensive enabled it in six weeks to retake many territories.
Update on the situation on the spot with Thorniké Gordadzé, former Georgian minister in charge of European integration, teacher at Sciences-Po.
