“Under-oxygenated brains, soaring smiles, no to muzzled children.
"Saturday, a demonstration to demand the repeal of the wearing of the compulsory mask at school from 6 years old gathered between 400 to 500 people, in Prades (Pyrénées-Orientales), reports France Bleu Roussillon.
The town was undoubtedly not chosen at random: it is Jean Castex who is the mayor of Prades, since 2008. He was replaced by his first deputy, who ensures the interim, when he was appointed Premier Minister, last July.
Carnival masks
In the procession, the station spotted many families, with children wearing, not masks protecting them from Covid-19, but carnival masks.
The rally, which went smoothly, notably marched in front of Jean Castex's town hall, and in front of the Pyrénées-Orientales prefecture, where a letter specifying the demands of the demonstrations was given to the prefect.
