[Explanation] Beijing has increased the protection of cultural relics along the Beijing section of the Grand Canal, and has achieved important archaeological results at 9 sites including Baifu Spring, Yuhe Old Road, and Lu County Old City.　

　　On November 7, the 2020 Beijing Grand Canal Cultural Festival kicked off. Chen Mingjie, Director of the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Cultural Heritage, released the latest archaeological results of the Grand Canal Cultural Belt.

　　Construction of the ancient city of Lu County has already started, so a relic park and a (relics) museum are to be built in the ancient city of Lu County.

　　[Explanation] Chen Mingjie introduced that the discovery of the ruins of the ancient city of Lu County advanced the history of Tongzhou to the early Western Han Dynasty at least 2,200 years ago, proving that Tongzhou has a profound cultural heritage.

　　The history of Tongzhou Sub-center has been greatly advanced. Before the excavation of the ruins of the ancient city of Lu County, most people may think that Tongzhou is only part of the Grand Canal when they say that Tongzhou is "a shadow of Tongzhou".

In fact, (Tongzhou history) was pushed to the Western Han Dynasty, which proves that the land under our feet has a history of more than 2,200 years.

　　[Explanation] It is reported that the ruins of the ancient city of Lu County, found in Tongzhou District along the Grand Canal, are typical of the Han Dynasty. More than 30 house sites, more than 10 kiln sites, more than 140 water wells, more than 10 roads and 1,000 have been excavated. Yuzuo ash pits and other social production and daily life remains.

　　The ancient city of Lu County was the most typical, complete and representative of more than 1,500 county-level cities in the Qin and Han Dynasties.

We know that the system of prefectures and counties is a major contribution of Chinese civilization to mankind, so this is a vivid specimen and living fossil that embodies the system of prefectures and counties.

We talk about "the system of prefectures and counties, the whole world is safe", so this is really meaningful, and it is of great research value for the system of prefectures and counties in China.
