After more than 3 hours of collection, a total of 163 milliliters of hematopoietic stem cell suspension was collected to deliver the "seed of life" to a patient with a blood disease and bring hope of life.
[Explanation] Xiao Liang, born in 1991, is a testing doctor in Guangxi First Hospital. It is understood that the day before the donation was his birthday, but due to the constraints of the hospital environment and the need for a light diet for hematopoietic stem cell donation, Xiao Liang will The birthday is postponed later.
On the day of the donation, Xiao Liang's wife Qianqian (pseudonym) took out the cake she had prepared to make up for her 29th birthday.
[Explanation] According to Xiaoliang, in December 2012, he was a sophomore in his sophomore year who went into the blood donation room to donate 400 ml of blood free of charge, and joined the China Marrow Bank as a volunteer.
After eight years of waiting, in July of this year, Xiao Liang received a notice that he and a patient with a blood disease had been successfully matched and agreed to the donation without hesitation.
