The Minister of National Education Jean-Michel Blanquer announced this Friday on RTL “a dozen” of criminal proceedings after incidents during the minute of silence in tribute to Samuel Paty.

The minute of silence in tribute to Samuel Paty "took place everywhere", explained the minister, who added that about 400 incidents were reported.

"No incident goes unresolved," he warned.

At the start of the school year, 12 million students honored the memory of the teacher from Yvelines, beheaded on October 16 for showing caricatures of Muhammad in class.

The Ministry of Education had asked teachers to observe a minute of silence in class after reading Jean Jaurès' letter to teachers.
