The Yamagata Shinkansen was used for the first time on the 5th so that people could enjoy the seasonal Yamagata fruit "La France" in Tokyo when it was ready to eat.

The transportation of "La France" using the Shinkansen was planned for the first time by Yamagata Prefecture and the JR East Sendai branch office in an attempt to sell the taste of autumn in Yamagata in Tokyo.

On the 5th, about 180 kg of "La France", which was harvested in Tendo City in the middle of last month and was ready to eat, was transported by four Yamagata Shinkansen going up to Tokyo.

Of these, "Tsubasa 132" was loaded with 45 kilograms in a cardboard box and departed for Tokyo Station after 9 am.

The transported "La France" will be sold at tenants at Tokyo Station and will be used as a menu ingredient at PR events held from the 6th to the 8th at restaurants in Ginza, Tokyo.

Koichiro Horii, Deputy Chief of the Yamagata Prefecture General Transportation Policy Division, said, "I want many people to take this opportunity to eat'La France', also known as the Queen of Fruits."
