  On April 23, 2020, Chen was arrested by the police of the Forest Branch of the Shantou Public Security Bureau.

After identification, the small sunflower parrot and the yellow-crowned Amazon parrot were all included in the appendix of the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora.

  The court sentenced the defendant Chen to 7 months imprisonment and fined 8,000 yuan for illegally purchasing rare and endangered wild animals.

  Coincidentally, in another case judged by the court, the defendant Fang bought a Burmese tortoise on a shopping website in December 2018; in March 2019, he also accepted 2 sukadalu as a gift from his co-founder. turtle.

  Later, Fang reposted a video of his co-partner selling turtles in WeChat Moments, and assisted the co-partner in reselling Sulcata tortoises and leopard tortoises to others at prices ranging from 400 to 5,000 yuan each. Earn a 15% rebate.

  After identification, the tortoises involved in the case are all protected animals in the appendix of the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora.

  The court sentenced the defendant Fang to five years' imprisonment and fined 30,000 yuan for the crime of illegally purchasing and selling rare and endangered wild animals.
