The number of positive cases for the coronavirus continues to increase in France.

58,046 new cases have been identified in the last 24 hours according to figures from Public Health France published on Thursday.

A record that brings the total number of people infected since the start of the epidemic to 1,601,367.

In addition, Public Health France indicates that "the number of new cases of Covid-19 declared this Thursday is a minimum and unconsolidated figure due to difficulties identified in the reporting of test results".

The entity specifies that these difficulties "are being resolved with the actors concerned".
