Immersion in the masterpieces of twenty artists (Renoir, Monet, Pissarro, Signac, Derain, Vlaminck, Dufy, Chagall…) "Voyages en Méditerranée" offers a journey from Impressionism to modernity, in revealing the link between artistic creation and the Mediterranean shores.

From the 1880s, the Mediterranean has in fact attracted many artists, leaving Paris or the North, and meeting along the coast, from Collioure to Saint-Tropez.

"It was then that they developed a new concept of light and color" reminds us Culturespaces.

A visual and musical creation that brings together some 500 works

In about forty minutes, the visitor is taken along this immersive exhibition from one artistic current to another: from Impressionism with Monet and Renoir, to pointillism with Signac and Cross, via Fauvism with Camoin, Derain , Vlaminck, Marquet… This visual and musical creation which brings together some 500 works, produced under the artistic direction of Gianfranco Iannuzzi and produced by Culturespaces, will take over the floors and walls of the submarine base reaching up to 12 meters in height. high.

The second exhibition, “Yves Klein, the infinite blue”, will immerse the visitor in the plurality of the artist's work and his famous blue IKB (International Klein Blues).

These two exhibitions must be screened from February 5, 2021 to January 2, 2022. They have already been presented on another Culturespaces site, Les Ateliers de Lumières in Paris, and will be redesigned to adapt to the specificity of the submarine base .
