According to the "Beijing Ageing Career Development Report", as of the end of 2019, the number of registered elderly people over 60 in Beijing has exceeded 3.67 million. In the past five years, the proportion of the elderly population in the total registered population has been increasing.

The communiqué of the Fifth Plenary Session of the 19th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China proposed to comprehensively promote the construction of a healthy China, implement a national strategy to actively respond to an aging population, and strengthen and innovate social governance.

Recently, the Beijing Municipal Office for Aging and the Municipal Association for Aging issued a proposal for action to help the elderly with wisdom, calling on the society to work together to help the elderly bridge the "digital divide."

What problems are facing the elderly in the digital age?

The reporter launched an investigation.

Wayfinding: "You can’t see or hear mobile navigation outdoors"

On the afternoon of November 1, the reporter saw an elderly couple standing by the side of the road looking around, holding each other's arms near the South Road of the East Fourth Ring.

The reporter opened the mobile map to help the elderly inquire.

Although it was only a 15-minute walk from the shopping mall they were looking for, they had to cross a bridge hole of the Fourth Ring Viaduct, so the reporter drove the two elderly people to the destination with a mobile phone navigation.

"Don't miss the two kilometers, but you really can't find it without navigation." The old man said that his son took him once before. He felt that he could find him so close, but he was still lost.

At the entrance of the shopping mall, after thanking the reporter and saying goodbye, the aunt asked her wife worriedly: "Do you remember the way? Go back and know how to go?" "It's okay, ask if you can't find it," the old man said.

Regarding the use of mobile phone navigation, the reporter has asked many elderly people. Many people said that they use navigation software mainly to check the route and bus load rate at home.

But when they are outdoors, the elderly cannot see the screen of the phone without wearing reading glasses, and the outdoor sound is noisy, and they can't hear the navigation voice prompts, so they generally don't use navigation software outdoors.

The survey shows that the elderly mainly use communication tools such as WeChat chat, voice and video calls, but few elderly people can use map navigation, travel ticket purchase, and online car-hailing functions.

Our newspaper randomly sampled 138 households and found that only 18% of the elderly can use map navigation, while less than 10% of the elderly can use the Internet to book a car.

Medical records "I can't check the electronic medical report, what should I do"

"I won't give a written report after the medical examination!" An old man reported to this newspaper a few days ago that there was no written report and it was not convenient for the elderly to understand the results of the medical examination.

The reporter saw at the Physical Examination Center of the Dabeiyao Branch of Ciming Physical Examination that when people hand in the physical examination form to the front desk, the staff will prompt: Now the physical examination center no longer provides paper physical examination reports. Three to five working days later, the physical examination center The electronic report form will be sent to the mobile phone as a text message. Just click the link in the text message and enter the password prompted in the text message... The young man nodded after listening to understand, then turned and left.

After listening, a gray-haired old man hesitated for a while and asked the staff: "Will the medical examination center send me a text message?" "Yes, there is a link in the text message. You can click on it and enter the password and verification code. You can see your electronic report." "Where is the password?" "Where is the text message written." "The verification code is also written?" "The verification code can only be seen after you click on the link."

Seeing that the old man still didn't understand, the staff told the old man that he could also send the paper report to her, but he had to bear the mailing cost.

The old man chose the electronic report in the end, "Let her help me read it when my daughter comes."

The reporter visited a number of hospitals and found that after the hospital implemented the online appointment registration system, some hospitals had few manual registration windows, and some hospitals only left a manual registration window, and patients lined up in long queues in front of the window, and older patients Mainly.

The elderly hope that the hospital can flexibly allocate resources according to the situation on the spot and open more windows during peak hours to facilitate the elderly.

The survey shows that less than 10% of elderly people make appointments online independently, more than half of them are made appointments with the help of family and friends, and nearly 40% of the elderly still choose to go to the hospital's artificial window to register by themselves.

Travels

"No code is not allowed, the appointment platform is chaotic"

On November 2, Mr. Wu Citizen reported to this newspaper that when he went to Beijing World Flower Grand View Garden, he was stopped because of "no code".

"The staff asked me to show my health code when I entered the kindergarten, but I didn't have one."

Mr. Wu told reporters that he is more than 80 years old this year. Although he has a smart phone, it is basically a display.

"I am not used to using my mobile phone. I only bring it when I go out, but I basically put it in my pocket and don't use it very much." Mr. Wu said that he has not registered a health code, and he usually goes shopping or occasionally goes to the hospital or bank. , Are for manual registration.

It is understood that Beijing World Flower Grand View Garden stipulates that seniors over 70 years old can enter the garden free of charge with their ID cards. Before the epidemic, Mr. Wu often came here to play. Unexpectedly, this time because of the health code, he had to spend a lot of setbacks, and finally he could not enter the garden. .

The reporter called the park's customer service center and the ticket office for consultation. The staff told reporters that you need to bring your mobile phone into the park, and someone will check the health code of tourists.

"What if the old man doesn't have a smart phone or a health code?" "Has the old man never been out for so long?" the staff asked rhetorically.

When the reporter asked whether the uncoded could enter the kindergarten again, the staff said, "There should be a paper version of the registration form. If you really cannot show your health code, you can also enter the kindergarten after registration."

Mr. Wu hopes that more public places can understand the difficulties of the elderly in using smart phones, open up green channels, and give them more tolerance and help.

The reporter's investigation found that since the epidemic, it is not only necessary to show the health code when visiting parks and museums, but also to make an appointment in advance in most places.

The "reservation system" can facilitate the park to understand passenger flow information and limit the flow according to the carrying capacity to improve the comfort of sightseeing.

However, the various ways to make reservations cause trouble for tourists.

Old people said that they understand the need for real-name appointments, but appointments need to pay attention to a lot of official accounts, which is more troublesome.

The reporter's investigation found that on the "Changyou Park" reservation platform opened by Beijing Park Management Center, 10 parks such as the Summer Palace and Temple of Heaven Park can be reserved. However, if you visit other parks or museums, you need to find or consult the reservation channel by yourself. Follow the official account or search the mini program to make an appointment.

In the survey, more than half of the respondents suggested that relevant departments may wish to establish a unified reservation platform for museums, parks and other scenic spots.

"It is convenient for tourists to make appointments, and some lesser-known small parks and small museums will have more opportunities to show their faces."

The survey shows that over 70% of the elderly cannot operate the epidemic prevention health code independently, and even more than 15% of the elderly have not heard of the health code.

Only about 10% of the elderly can independently complete online booking for ticket purchases, weather inquiries, and living payment.
