With the reconfinement announced from October 30 and for a month, the question immediately arose of the release of

next gen

consoles

, November 10 for the Xbox Series X / S and November 19 for the PS5.

How to buy these new machines, or get your pre-orders?

Retailers, such as Fnac or Micromania, quickly organized themselves with a reinforced sanitary system or contactless withdrawal.

But PlayStation goes further, and confirms, by press release, that “sales on release day, November 19, will be made through partner online stores to ensure the safety of our players, resellers and employees during the Covid- 19 ”.

📍Your Fnac stores are open for your purchases, collection of your orders and after-sales service.

To be clear, and even crystal clear: no console will be available for sale in store.

"We therefore urge you not to camp or stand in line in front of your usual store in the hope of purchasing a PS5 on release day," adds PlayStation.

On the other hand, the withdrawal of pre-orders in store should be done without difficulty "at the agreed time, in compliance with security protocols".

Stay safe, play safe

.

Update: All sales of # PS5 on the day of its release on November 19, will be made online only.

No console will be available for sale in store.
