4 Moroccans killed trying to cross a sewage canal towards Spain

Four Moroccan youths died as they tried to cross a sewage canal from the port of Beni Ansar towards the neighboring Spanish enclave of Melilla in northern Morocco, according to a source in the local authorities today.

The source said that the Civil Protection Services intervened upon notification of the accident to find the bodies of three victims inside the channel, while a fourth person was transferred to the hospital, where he died.
