At 14:00 on November 4, a forest fire broke out in Jingxi Town, Minhou County, Fuzhou City.
After receiving the fire report, the Special Service Brigade of the Fujian Provincial Forest Fire Fighting Corps immediately activated the emergency response mechanism and dispatched 20 forest firefighters and 4 vehicles to fight the fire.
After on-site investigation, the topography of the fire site is mountainous, cliffs, high mountains and steep slopes.
The vegetation is dominated by thatch, shrubs and Pinus tabulaeformis. The fire is moderate to low-intensity surface fire, and the overall trend is upward mountain fire.
According to the on-site survey, the forest firefighters decisively adopted the "one-point breakthrough, two-wing propulsion" tactics, adopted a combination of water extinguishing and conventional extinguishing by erecting water pumps, and cooperated with 10 fire rescue teams to fight the fire line.
At 16:20, the wind on the fire site increased and the wind direction changed, making it difficult to fight the fire.
In order to ensure the safety of fire fighting, the special team of the Fujian Forest Fire Fighting Corps sent 52 more forest firefighters to rush for reinforcements. They used water pumps to extinguish fires to fight the fire on the west side and stop the fire on the west side.
After more than three hours of fighting, at 17:13, all the open flames were extinguished. The two intermittent lines of fire were about 3 kilometers long. A total of 4 fire heads were extinguished and more than 10 remaining fires were cleared.
