The Turkish Disaster and Emergency Management Department (AFAD) announced today, Tuesday, the rescue of a girl who spent 91 hours under the rubble of a building that collapsed in the earthquake that struck Izmir last Friday, coinciding with the rise in the number of earthquake victims to 102 people.

The administration stated, through its Twitter account for social networking, that the girl was safely extracted.

A participant in the rescue effort told TRT: "We heard someone screaming ... She told us I am Ida, and I'm fine."

"I heard a voice," the rescue worker told reporters.

I put my head in the hole, ”adding that she told him she was very thirsty, and asked for water and a yogurt drink.

He continued: «I stayed next to her until the ambulance came.

We kept talking.

She was fine. ”

The pictures showed an aid worker embraced the girl after she was found in the rubble covered with dust.

People gathered in the area applauded rescue workers after they pulled out the girl, who was said to be three or four years old.

She was stuck behind an electric washing machine that protected her from injury.

"Our miracle after 91 hours is called Ida," said Minister Murad Corum.

Praise be to Allah".
