Netflix begins its "Beyond Nature" show Thursday

On Thursday, the digital broadcasting platform Netflix begins showing the episodes of the series "Beyond Nature", its first Egyptian work, in a step within the digital broadcasting service strategy for the Middle East.

The series is based on a series of novels by Egyptian writer Ahmed Khaled Tawfiq about a doctor whose scientific convictions suddenly come into question.

Of those well-received books, they sold more than 15 million copies.

"Our plan is to invest in Arab creative people, Arabic production and Arabic content," said the director of Arab and African original works for Netflix, Ahmed Al-Sharqawi.

The series revolves around the character of Rifaat Ismail, a cynical and quick-witted doctor whose beliefs about the world come into question when he is exposed to unnatural phenomena.

Director Amr Salama, who co-produced the series with Muhammad Hefzy, said: “The novels, this is a project that was one of my life’s projects .. I mean, I stayed with me while I was a child with her love, and from 2006 I bought the rights and Muhammad Hefzy bought the rights for the series, and from 2006 we are trying to bring it to light. It appeared now ».

Egypt is known as the "Hollywood of the Middle East" and produces the largest number of films and series.

"The idea of ​​responsibility," said actor Ahmed Amin, who plays the hero of the series. "We are on a global platform, as Egyptian drama is discovered on the world level."

"I have a different opportunity than any opportunity that was in a job before that. If this job could be for him, fans (fans) from other regions, from other countries speak other languages, since the work allows the idea of ​​translation and dubbing.”

Netflix indicated that it expects to finish filming more than 150 artworks by the end of the year, and that it will display more original works every three months from 2021 compared to 2020.
