Iftaa from Jordan: A person suffering from "Corona" is forbidden by Sharia to mix with people

The Jordanian General Iftaa Department confirmed today that a person who suffers from an infectious disease (such as corona), or is suspected of being infected with it, is forbidden to associate with other people.

In order not to be a cause of transmitting infection and disease to them, which would harm them in particular, harm the country and its health and economic security in general, and disrupt the interests of the people and the country.

The department said in a statement that the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, ordered us to quarantine when there was a plague, which is an infectious epidemic, and said: “If you hear about it on a land, do not go ahead on it, and if it falls on it, then it will fall.” The hadith was compelled by scholars to prohibit, that is, the prohibition of entry into the country in which the epidemic occurred (the plague) and the prohibition of leaving it.

And it indicated that every infectious epidemic, such as (Corona), is measured against the plague, so it is not permissible for a person infected with it to mix with other people, because that causes harm to them, and the Prophet, peace and blessings of God be upon him, stated the prohibition of causing harm to others and said: (There is no harm or no harm).

The Fatwa Department also forbade the person suffering from an infectious disease to pray in the mosque, or to mix with people in their gathering places, and he is considered sinful if he does that. “If the smell of onions and garlic leaves the congregation off the person responsible, then how about an infectious disease that may lead to harm or death.”

The department called for the obligation to adhere to the quarantine and the directions and instructions decided by the specialists, and whoever does not adhere to that is a legally sinful person, and as a matter of corruption on earth, God Almighty said: (And they seek corruption on the ground).

She indicated that whoever does not abide by the instructions deserves punishment in this world and the hereafter for violating the command of God Almighty and His Messenger, and for violating the guardian who prevented him from wandering and mixing, and his order to do so is in the interest of people, and the behavior of the shepherd is dependent on the interest as determined by the jurists and his punishment is estimated by the guardian according to the resulting harm.

And she confirmed that everyone who is negligent in quarantine and mixes with others, knowing that he is infected and that his disease is contagious, and causes the death of others, is a fatal and he must pay blood money, and the penance fasts for two consecutive months, and this is repeated by a number of people who died because of him.

And the Department legally obligated anyone who was infected with the Coronavirus or was suspected of being infected, to take the necessary and appropriate health measures to preserve his health and himself, from stone and to spare others the risk of infection, and whoever violates this is a legally sinful person deserving of punishment in this world and the hereafter, if he escapes from Punishment in this world will not escape it in the hereafter unless he repents, and his account is with his Lord.
