Tiling, painting, electricity, small or large work ... Whatever your project, it will be possible to continue it during confinement, assured the minister responsible for housing on Thursday.

Emmanuelle Wargon declared more generally that the activity of the building would be maintained.

"The objective is to tell the French that they can continue their work projects, whether they are energy renovation projects or others, and that the craftsmen know how to organize this work, even if people are at home", explained Emmanuelle Wargon during a press point.

In general, "the building activity is intended to continue in compliance with barrier gestures," added the Minister.

No shortage of materials

Regarding building permits, “the deadlines do not change.

The administrations (…) will continue to educate them and afterwards, each administration sets up a continuity of activity which makes it possible to modulate telework and physical work when necessary, ”she continued.

The supply chain will also be preserved, so that "large companies as well as small will be able to continue to source construction materials", assured Emmanuelle Wargon.

It will also remain possible to move, the supporting documents can in particular be a deed of sale or a new lease, as well as signing a sale.

"The notaries are putting in place dematerialized procedures, as was done during the spring confinement, and failing that, it will be possible to sign on the spot", promises the housing ministry.

On the other hand, general meetings of co-ownership will no longer be able to be held physically, but may be held remotely.

Last May, the government had noted the possibility of organizing dematerialized AGMs until January 31, 2021. This possibility should however be extended beyond January 2021. Finally, the recycling centers may remain open.
