Interregional solidarity continues.

After welcoming four patients from Avignon on Wednesday and four from Nîmes on Tuesday, Breton hospitals have again been called upon to take care of Covid patients in intensive care.

This Thursday, the day after the announcement of general confinement, two patients hospitalized in the Gard were received at the Lorient hospital center, in Morbihan.

Tuesday and Wednesday, it is the hospitals of Brest which had been selected by the Regional Health Agency.

In a short message, the health authority recalls that "the current availability of resuscitation in Brittany makes it possible to achieve this reception within the framework of national solidarity between regions".

A medical plane was mobilized to ensure this transfer, and significant human resources were deployed within the Samu and the hospitals of the two departments.

During the first wave of coronavirus, Brittany had already welcomed 84 patients with Covid-19, while hospitals in Ile-de-France and Grand-Est were overwhelmed.

Solidarity between regions is currently more timid, the epidemic being more diffuse in the country.
