At the same time, the base will also be based in Shanghai and radiate to the Yangtze River Delta, and then carry out industry-wide training in the field of elderly care services across the country, and promote the transformation of elderly care service capabilities from self-improvement in the institution to a platform-based development.

According to data, as of the end of 2019, there were 5,181,200 elderly registered residents aged 60 and above in Shanghai, accounting for 35.2% of its total registered population.
After the opening of the old-age service capacity building base jointly created by the Shanghai Municipal Civil Affairs Bureau and Minhang District, Shanghai, it will carry out industry-wide talent training for the old-age service field, focusing on training management personnel and nursing staff.
The base is specially built with a teaching simulation training center, which simulates the real scenes of various types of elderly care services, and realizes a full-scene teaching simulation by combining theoretical teaching, scenario simulation, practical training, and competitions.
According to reports, the base also builds a concentrated version of service model rooms for various elderly care facilities such as livable communities for the elderly, elderly care institutions, community elderly care service complexes, care homes for the elderly, day care centers, and elderly care service sites at home. Various types of elderly care services such as elderly care consultants, home care beds, cognitive impairment care, rehabilitation assistive device rentals, and smart product applications will be displayed on site.
