In Kozagawa Town, Wakayama Prefecture, the work of squeezing the special yuzu juice has begun.

In Kozagawa Town, one of the leading Yuzu producing areas in Wakayama Prefecture, about 100 farmers are cultivating Yuzu, and the work of squeezing Yuzu juice has begun at the processing plant of the union made by local farmers.



After washing about 10 tons of yuzu brought in from the farmer with water and squeezing it with a roller, the processing plant is wrapped in a sweet and sour scent.



It plans to produce about 5 tons of fruit juice a day and 130 tons this season, which is the same as the average year, and will be processed into 30 items such as yuzu vinegar, ponzu juice, juice, and dressings.



Mr. Tsutomu Hayama, CEO of "Kozagawa Yuzu Hirai no Sato", a union made by local farmers, said, "This is a good result."



The work of squeezing the yuzu juice will continue throughout the next month.
