To secure a care manager Policy to review the care fee system Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare October 29, 5:06

As the shortage of long-term care personnel continues, the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare has decided to review the system to halve the long-term care fee when the number of cases in charge exceeds 40 in order to stabilize the income of the care manager.

The review will be carried out on a long-term care insurance service called "home care support," in which the care manager creates a care plan for the elderly.

Regarding home care support, it was pointed out that the overall income and expenditure was in the red, which was a factor in the shortage of care managers, and the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare decided to review the calculation method of long-term care fees.

Currently, in order to ensure the quality of service, if one care manager handles more than 40 cases, the compensation per case will be halved, and if it exceeds 60 cases, it will be reduced to 30%. I am going to change the standard.

On the other hand, the policy is to utilize an online conferencing system and assign clerical staff so that the quality does not deteriorate due to the increase in work.

In addition, since it is often a burden for the care manager to accompany the elderly living alone to the hospital and explain their physical condition to the doctor, we will calculate the remuneration anew.

The Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare plans to show these policies at the council meeting held on the 30th, proceed with concrete examinations, and reflect them in the remuneration revision in April next year.
