The Emirates Publishers Association extended an invitation to book makers and publishers from all over the world to meet their Emirati counterparts, during the activities of the 39th edition of the Sharjah International Book Fair, which will be held during the period from 4-14 November at the Sharjah Expo Center, within the framework of its project «Meet the Publisher Emirates », which was launched last year, with the aim of providing a platform to discuss means of strengthening partnerships and cooperation on translation projects or concluding sale and purchase rights agreements.
The “Meet the Emirati Publisher” project provides the opportunity for the participants to hold (individual / bilateral) meetings with the 185 members of the Emirates Publishers Association, or discuss partnership opportunities with them through virtual sessions, to be determined in advance after registration via the link:

The Executive Director of the Emirates Publishers Association, Rashid Al-Kous, said: “The project aims to provide a strategic platform for members of the association to communicate with their counterparts from all over the world, explore opportunities to expand their work regionally and internationally, and translate their Arabic books into international languages. The project also provides an excellent opportunity to enable its participants to Explore the possibility of establishing business partnerships, and participating in local, regional and international book fairs, and other prominent cultural events.
Al-Kous added, "The importance of the project lies in the instructions and directives it provides to publishers to benefit from the translation grants available, whether at the local or international level, and to conclude deals to buy copyright with international bodies."
Within the framework of its project “Meet the Emirati Publisher”, the Emirates Publishers Association offers to a select group of its members a set of benefits, including a free exhibition space or platform in all book fairs in which the association participates, as well as the opportunity to communicate with bodies and institutions participating in networking events, It also provides them with a handbook on the copyright and translation rights of the publishers they meet.
