Visits to patients are suspended in hospitals in Nîmes (Gard), the CHU services said on Monday.

The measure, put in place "to better adapt to the health crisis", comes into force until further notice from Tuesday.

This ban applies to the three sites of the CHU of Nîmes, Carémeau and Serre-Cavalier, as well as the site of Grau-du-Roi).

"No more permission, even therapeutic, is now allowed," said the hospital, in a press release.

Only visits to patients placed in palliative care, underage patients and visits "with exceptional medical authorization" will be accepted by the CHU.
