The Collective against Islamophobia in France (CCIF) announced Monday its intention to "internationalize" its activities.

He thus hopes to avoid being dissolved as announced by the Minister of the Interior Gérald Darmanin, accusing the collective of aid and defense of Muslims of being "obviously involved" in the murder of the history professor of Yvelines.

The CCIF denounces from an amalgamation and affirms that, if it was indeed seized by the father accused of having orchestrated the campaign against Samuel Paty on the Internet, it did not take "any action" for lack of having had the time to verify if this matter fell within its field of competence.

"Anti-Muslim racism"

"We live this announcement of dissolution as a real political and institutional denial of anti-Muslim racism," wrote the collective on Monday in a press release.

"It sends a terrible message to citizens of Muslim faith:" You do not have the right to defend your rights. And the association which asserts the laws of our democracy to assist you in respecting your freedoms is now a target "".

Insure against "any attempt at intimidation or destabilization"

In response, the CCIF therefore "activated a large-scale plan to deploy a large part of (its) activities abroad".

Thus, "not only will the security and continuity of CCIF's activities be guaranteed against any attempt at intimidation or destabilization, but they will also be consolidated and reinforced by national and international means", continues the collective.

The dissolution procedure, which requires a decree in the Council of Ministers, will be based on a "double foundation" including "what concerns the apology of terrorism and identity and religious hatred" and "what concerns order. public, ”the Interior Ministry said last week.
