“The first major fire of this fall was extinguished near the borders of Land of the Leopard,” a statement on the website of the national park says.
It is noted that the inspectors defended the park from fire for 24 hours, preventing it from entering the territory.
It is also reported that arson could have caused the fire.
Earlier it became known that meteorologists expect that the season of forest fires in Russia will end in early November.
