Aya Nakamura at the 2019 NRJ Music Awards -

NRJ Music Awards like no other.
For the first time in twenty-two years of existence, the 2020 edition of the awards ceremony will take place in Paris, or rather at the musical Seine in Boulogne-Billancourt, and not at the Palais des festivals in Cannes.
The ceremony, presented by Nikos Aliagas, will take place on December 5 and will be broadcast live on TF1 and NRJ.
Two new categories are emerging this year, those of the best French-speaking and international collaborations.
In terms of nominations, Dua Lipa, Lady Gaga, Jason Derulo, The Weeknd, the Black Eyde Peas and the duo of Vitaa and Slimane are the most nominated (three quotes each and each).
Some observations: Aya Nakamura is named among the French-speaking artists of the year, but her summer
hit
,
Jolie Nana
, was not selected among the French-speaking songs of the year (while two covers,
Angela
and
Sorry for last night
are included).
Wejdene is named both among female performers and revelations but her highly regarded
Anissa
is not in the running for song of the year.
The stakes are not yet over since only the votes of the public are taken into account.
Voting is open from Monday noon until December 4 on the NRJ and TF1 sites.
