The screenwriter Antonio Onetti has been unanimously re-elected as president of the General Society of Authors and Editors (SGAE), as agreed by the board of directors of the entity meeting in extraordinary session, after a vote in which the 39 Possible votes in favor, Europa Press has learned from board sources.

Onetti already replaced Fermín Cabal, who had held the presidency on an interim basis since April 15 after the dismissal of Pilar Jurado.

In this way, the playwright also becomes the 45th president of the institution.

The board of directors of the General Society of Authors and Editors (SGAE) has held this Monday, October 26, an extraordinary call to elect a new president of the entity.

Last Thursday, the 39 members of it were elected on an electoral day classified as "historic" by the entity, since all of its more than 120,000 members were able to exercise their right to decide in elections and, as a novelty, They were able to do so through electronic voting.
