The "Ajlati" company, which manufactures robots, has designed the human-like robot "Digit" to carry boxes, and plans to put it on the market at a price of $ 250,000.

The company announced financing the project in the amount of $ 20 million, and its intention to launch mass production.

The robot walks on two legs and carries the boxes in its arms, but its torso is missing a head.

Digit is designed for heavy duty work, such as loading and unloading boxes and inspecting dangerous workplaces.

It is characterized by ease of movement and operation.

"Robots have to work according to our desire to become more effective and practical," said Jonathan Hearst, the company's CEO, in a video.

Ajlati recently concluded a deal with Ford to produce robots for loading and unloading boxes from autonomous cargo vehicles, after Boston Dynamics offered its robotic dog Spot Mini at a price of $ 75,000.
