[Explanation] Xiguan Hanjiang Qishi Intangible Heritage Cultural Industrial Park is located in Xiguan Village in the northern suburb of Laohekou City, Hubei Province.

The village is famous for its culture of strange stones and is the only "hometown of strange stones" in the Han River basin.

[Explanation] Recently, when the reporter walked into Xiguan Village, various stones and stone products can be seen everywhere.

In this village, there is a man called "Stone Crazy" named Liu Xiaoqun, who has played and appreciated stones for decades.

In 2019, Liu Xiaoqun returned to his hometown to start a business, renovated and repaired his old house, and built the Han River Stone Museum at his doorstep.

I used to do business in a foreign country, and I also love stones. Now I need to build a beautiful countryside in my hometown. How can I say, I also find a space to display my exhibits, which also promotes rural tourism and activates the rural economy. Looking at our place now, there are a lot of people doing business. Every night is like a night market, crowded with people.

[Commentary] Speaking of the strange stones of the Hanjiang River, Liu Xiaoqun talks endlessly.

He told reporters that the Hanjiang River's strange stones are moist, high in hardness, and rich in stone types, especially the Hanjiang ink stone, which is of great ornamental value.

The stone in our place is relatively round and moderate in size. In addition, its texture is relatively hard. In addition, its color, you see, the contrast between black and white is relatively large, and the texture can easily form some text pictures. Flying birds and beasts are very interesting.

[Explanation] Nowadays, relying on Liu Xiaoqun’s Hanjiang Qishi Museum and the unique cultural resources of the village, Laohekou City has newly built a strange stone museum, a folk custom museum, a wood engraving exhibition room, a Qin brick and Han tile museum, and a woodcarving museum in Xiguan Village. The museum has attracted more than 40 cultural enterprises, including strange stones, brick carvings, and jade carvings in surrounding areas such as Henan and Shaanxi, and has initially formed the current regional Hanjiang strange stone cultural tourism market.

[Explanation] Many young people in the village also returned to their hometowns to start their own businesses and opened supermarkets, farmhouses, and homestays.

  [Concurrent] Local villagers

When we came back to the village before, it looked like a garbage dump. Now the appearance of this village is very different from before. Now the environmental sanitation is good.

  Local villagers

Our next step is to build a farmhouse. Now we are opening a shop and opening a small shop. We can survive at home and we don’t need to go out anymore. Our environment here is much better than other (local) environments.

[Explanation] Qu Yalin, the first secretary of Xiguan Village, said that in the next step, the park will build a children's amusement park and a car cinema relying on unique cultural industries such as strange stones, root carvings and old tofu.

Through several years of construction, we will strive to build Xiguan Kistler Cultural Industrial Park into the first Hanjiang Kistler Industrial Park in the Han River Basin.
