The architectural concept of the theater is derived from "Watermark Cangshan".
The softly floating roof of the building is like the reflection of Cangshan Mountain on the Erhai Lake, echoing the surrounding continuous terrain.
The interwoven grid-like shapes constitute a huge canopy-shaped building, and its interior is the performance square.
The design deliberately combines the local topography and climate, so that the abundant sunlight peculiar to the plateau area can be irradiated through the huge inclined roof shape of the theater front hall.
