  It is understood that the Kimberley Process International Certification System is a supervision system for the import and export trade of rough diamonds, which was formally implemented on January 1, 2003.

  The system stipulates that the exporting country must encapsulate each batch of exported rough and semi-finished diamonds, and the exporting country’s government authority shall issue the "Kimberley Process International Certificate". The importing country’s government can only approve the import after verifying that the exporting country’s official certificate is correct. .

  In October 2019, Macau officially implemented the Kimberley Process international certification system.

In order to support the development of rough diamond trading business in Macau and promote the moderately diversified economic development of Macau, the General Administration of Customs has recently approved the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge Customs and Hengqin Customs of Gongbei Customs as the designated competent customs responsible for the management of import and export of rough diamonds under the Kimberley Process International Certification System , And from October 20, Kimberley-related businesses can be handled at the above ports.

  "The newly established Kimberley Business Office can complete the business links of document review, inspection, inspection, visa, etc. in a one-stop manner."
