Beaujolais Nouveau arrives at Haneda Airport next month at 18:01 on October 22nd

Next month, Beaujolais Nouveau, a French wine whose sale will be lifted, arrived at Haneda Airport by airmail.

Due to the effects of the new coronavirus, imports are expected to be about 30% less than last year.

Beaujolais Nouveau is a new wine made from grapes harvested that year in the Beaujolais district of Burgundy, France, and will be unveiled on the 19th of next month.

On the 22nd, an airmail loaded with 2640 bottles arrived at Haneda Airport after 1:30 pm, was inspected by customs, and then handed over to the importing company.

According to a major brewer, it is expected that orders from restaurants will decrease due to the influence of the new coronavirus, and the import volume is expected to be about 3.36 million, which is about 30% less than last year.

Toru Ayaki, the importer's manager of the import brand of "Suntory Wine International", said, "The spread of the new corona has affected winemaking, but the finish is full of fruit and the seasonal tradition has changed. I want you to enjoy it without any problems. "
