All Nippon Airways “Haneda Priority” Narita Airport President “Efforts to Maintain Network” October 22, 12:32

Tamura of Narita Airport Company has decided to prioritize Haneda Airport when ANA will reduce flights or resume suspended international flights at four airports such as Haneda and Narita due to the influence of the new corona virus. President Akihiko said, "I have never heard from ANA," and stated that he would work to maintain the aviation network by taking measures such as reducing and exempting airport charges.

Due to the impact of the new coronavirus, the recovery of international flight users is not expected immediately, but ANA will recover demand for international flights that have been reduced or suspended at four airports, Haneda, Narita, Kansai, and Chubu. When resuming, we have decided to give priority to Haneda Airport.

Regarding this, Akihiko Tamura, president of Narita Airport Corporation, said at a press conference on the 22nd, "I have not heard from ANA, and I would like to keep an eye on the situation."

On top of that, President Tamura said, "While the large-scale suspension of international flights continues, we will continue to create an environment where people can come and go with peace of mind and make every effort to maintain the network." He expressed his intention to maintain the aviation network at Narita Airport.

At Narita Airport, ANA's international flights departed and arrived at about 28,400 times last year, the highest number among airlines, accounting for about 15% of all international flights.
